5 THINGS THAT WORK A LITTLE BETTER IN SETTING GOALS

I'm no expert at life and I am still not where I would like to be - so I set goals.

Why?

Because setting goals makes the monotony of certain things in life ... less monotonous.
Goals can come in any size or format, and can change. The best way I found to keep the whole goal setting thing 'fun' is by setting a short, a mid and a long-term goal, and if you find that you want to take on the world and have about 1000 goals - just get through them one at a time by prioritising the ones that are most important to you.
A lot of the time the goals we set seem completely unattainable so after writing them down, that is usually we tend to leave them - written down and forgotten.
But ...

... did you break those goals down? Take note of what smaller steps you would need to take to get there? Did you create smaller goals with rewards that would motivate you to reach that big one?
I never used too but now that I do, I find it attaining and achieving goals less daunting and I'm more willing to take them on.

5 THINGS THAT WORK A LITTLE BETTER IN SETTING GOALS
  1. Decide your goal(s) and make the mental decision to hit it - it really is an issue of mind over matter.
  2. Make sure you have a reason to hit your goal - by setting smaller reward goals to keep you motivated.
  3. ELIMINATE ALL EXCUSES! (Otherwise what is the point of setting them in the first place).
  4. Create a sense of urgency - otherwise you wont push yourself to make your goal happen.
  5. Be the most positive and enthusiastic person - you can't expect others to happy or better yet supportive of any of your goals if you are dismissive or lack any passion in making them happen.
Take control, at the end of the day, the goals are yours - so don't let them be the boss of you.
Over & out!
